Refurbished GPS Under $50
Right now there is a refurbished GPS over at Amazon.com for under $50 after mail in rebate ($20 mail in rebate). It is the TomTom ONE 130, which has a 3.5 inch touchscreen control, contains turn by turn directions (but will not speak out the street names), maps of both the US and Canada, has access to TomTom’s awesome Map Share feature, and a crisp 320 x 240 resolution. The refurbished TomTom ONE 130 also features a mount that folds right out of the GPS, making it great for easy stowing.
Also, since this is a refurbished GPS, TomTom is also offering a 6 month guarantee with the product – meaning if it stops working like it is supposed to you can return it and get a replacement. TomTom has always shown themselves to have excellent customer support and you should feel pretty good about this guarantee from them.
If you are looking for something that is going to speak out the names of the street that you want to turn on you can upgrade to the TomTom 130S, which has the same $20 rebate offer. If you think having the street names spoken out to you is worth the extra $20 you might want to consider going with this option.
Both of these devices comes with TomTom’s Tele Atlas maps, which some American users find slightly less useful than the NAVTEQ maps used by Garmin and Magellan. You also get the robust language support that TomTom is well know for with both the 130 and 130s. If you are a non-native English speaker or just like hearing your driving directions in another language a TomTom is a great choice.
These prices certainly won’t last forever, so if you think you are in the market for these devices you might want to read some reviews on them and make a purchase. You can read reviews on the TomTom 130 here
